MELOCOTON <\/strong><\/span>was created by H\u00e9l\u00e8ne Mitjavile and Th\u00e9o Laboulandine in 2011. The company is structured around two departments, Cinema and TV\/New media. They are driven by a common desire to offer daring work which uses innovative approaches that break free from the patriarchal, heteronormative worldview. We strive to work with artists and partners from a range of diverse backgrounds. While Theo focuses on audiovisual and new media, H\u00e9l\u00e8ne specializes in cinema,
with a keen interest in international productions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Melocoton is an active member of the SPI – Independent Producers Union<\/strong>, Unifrance<\/strong>, the PXN \u2013<\/strong> Producers of Digital Experiences<\/strong>, the 50\/50 collective <\/strong>for parity in the movie industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

H\u00c9L\u00c8NE MITJAVILE<\/strong><\/span> is a Paris based producer, focused on arthouse international cinema. As a co-founder of Melocoton Films, she has produced over 20 short fictions..<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her first animation production, \u201cScale\u201d by Joseph Pierce, co-produced with the United Kingdom, Czech Republic, and Belgium, premiered at Cannes\u2019 Critics Week, and has been screened at over 180 festivals and awarded about 50 prizes worldwide \u2013 including the audience prize of Clermont Ferrand\u2019s Lab competition and the Grand Prix at Les Arcs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following the production of the C\u00e9sar nominated live action short \u201cTender Age\u201d by Julien Gaspar-Oliveri, she joined forces with her business partner to produce the series THOSE WHO BLUSH by the same author. The series, made in co-production with BOX Productions (Switzerland), will be presented in competition at S\u00e9ries Mania and broadcasted on Arte in October 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the same time, she is making her feature film debut with Aur\u00e9lien Peilloux\u2019s first feature film, “Chemical Bond”, starring Galatea Bellugi, Emmanuelle Devos, and Stefan Crepon, distributed in France by Memento and internationally by France T\u00e9l\u00e9visions Distribution. The film, a co-production with Delante Productions, France 3 Cin\u00e9ma, Auvergne-Rh\u00f4ne-Alpes Cin\u00e9ma, and Beside, will air on Canal+. It is currently in post-production.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the international co-production front, “Ungrateful Beings” by Olmo Omerzu, supported by the Cin\u00e9mas du Monde grant and presented in competition at the San Sebasti\u00e1n Film Festival, was released in theaters in France on April 8, 2026, by Epicentre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She is currently developing short and feature-length films in live-action and animation, including Joseph Pierce\u2019s first animated feature film, “How the Deads live”. She participates in various workshops and training programs (Berlinale Talents, ACE Producers, \u201cExpertizing a Screenplay\u201d at La F\u00e9mis, \u201cLess is More\u201d at Groupe Ouest, etc.). She is also a member of the C\u00e9sar Academy and the European Film Academy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After working on various sets, for postproduction houses as well as in communication agencies as a strategic planner, TH\u00c9O LABOULANDINE<\/strong><\/span> founded Melocoton Films with his associate H\u00e9l\u00e8ne Mitjavile in 2011. Focusing on TV, he has produced several music videos, including Vanille-Fraise<\/em> from L’imp\u00e9ratrice and Sphynx <\/em>from La Femme, as well as four documentary series in co-production with France TV Slash and a short fiction series broadcasted on MyCanal. He develops documentary and fiction programmes for TV, with a keen eye for strong contemporary topics. He is an active member of the Union of Independent Producers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
